Dado
Dado started playing the guitar in primary school, as he grew up listening to his parent’s music (rock, blues…).He got into hiphop teaching one of his friends, who was into rap and hiphop playing the guitar. He started writing lirics, and while skateboarding, he met a fellow skater and a Dj – Nu. They started doing beats together way back in ‘94.
They caught the attention of Jamirko (a member of a Ljubljana based band called Heavy Less Wanted), who in ‘95 invited them to perform together as a supporting act to The Roots. On that occasion Dado became a part of a hiphop group called Garbage Enemy, and the same year they performed with Naughty by Nature.
When they Garbage Enemy broke up Dado got invited to sing for a crossover band called Srečna Mladina. They played together for five years, recorded two albums and after more than a hundred of concerts, the band caught the eye of “major” Slovenian record labels. Major labels beeing as they are, they started giving their conditions on how the band’s music should sound (commercial trash), should they want to release another album. Dado left the band and the whole scene as MC Dissapointed and started deejaying.
He then met a fellow DJ - Borka - and with him he started the Ironic Tronic project, a hiphop act which also includes Dado’s brother Fidži.
