Mina je VJka

Borka is a 25 years old DJ/producer from Ljubljana, he’s been spinning records since 1999. His style is quite eclectic: he plays breaks, from funky breaks, dubby breaks to nu-skool. He also plays drum n’ bass (from deep & dubby stuff to liquid funk…), hiphop (mostly abstract, instrumental and leftfield beats, headz), and might add a scratch rutine to his set. Has played all over Slovenia and abroad: Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Austria, France, Great Britain, Norway, Serbia, Bosnia… with various international artists. His set was played on the infamous London based radio Kiss FM (in the Tayo Poopola show). Borka is a member of a dj/vj/someotherstuff collective called Code.EP. He’s also producing music. Has few releases on few compilations, does production/beats for the Ironic Tronic project and some other hiphop acts. Besides deejaying Borka has worked on various projects: a turntables/double bass act with bass player Tomaz Grom, music for a feature movie, animations and theatre… Does promotional/program work for club K4 (mainly dn’b & hiphopish events), Has a radio show called BreakWave on Radio Student which is dedicated to presenting fresh breakbeats in the broadest sense of the word. Writes music reviews for some magazines…

Everlandia

Dj Bakto (Jaka Batič, born 1979, Ljubljana, Yugoslavia) started playing in 1999 in club Gromka, Ljubljana. There he started Lounge Guerrilla, a series of eclectic electronic music events. A year later he joined the Code.EP crew and began to play in Ljubljana’s most most prominent club - the K4. Since then he’s been playing in almost all Slovenian clubs and festivals. He is also a frequent guest star at events in the neighboring countries. He also worked with Slovenian jazz band called Projekt Mesto. From the very beginning he’s been playing many different styles of music, from leftfield hip hop, old school breakbeats and funk, to nu school breakbeats, electro and drum’n’bass. He is also a keen collector of vintage vinyl, especially Yugoslavian beat music which also gets incorporated into his sets. You can hear him on all kinds of events from hip hop parties to drum’n’bass and breakbeat events, where often plays alongside renowned people from all around the world of electronic music.
