The Good Foot - naslovka

The Good Foot je serija funk in rare groove večerov v klubu K4. Funk divizija ekipe Code.EP (Bakto, Borka, Ozo, Woo-D in Zhe) organizira plesne poslastice s spretno izbranimi funkadeličnimi beati z celega sveta - od bboy breakov, soul mod bangerjev in jugo breakov, do modernega funka. Koncept večera je precej sproščen, se pa večinoma vrtijo godbe 70. let.

The Good Foot is a funk and rare groove night in club K4 (Ljubljana) organised by Code.EP Funk division, usually as a midweek (Wednesday) happening of danceable delights. The night is based on carefully picked funkadelic beats from all over the world – from classic bboy breaks, soul mod bangers and yugo beats to afrobeat, modern (deep) funk… It’s a loose musical concept (no, we’re not funk purists!), but it’s also a fact that most of the music played was made in the seventies. Get on the Good Foot!

Play VJ

PLAY VJ

The idea for creating a MIDI interface was inspired by a need to represent the haptic forms of image and sound. The potential of such media lies exactly in the forms that they can be transformed into, so that the monitoring of transformation is of key importance. The device enabling the visitor to participate in the creative process is able to register through sensors the changes in movement, presence and touch. The visitor changes the sonic and visual appearance of the work. Sound and image are presented as variables – the form is never definitely determined and is constantly subjected to change. The viewer enters into this process as an unknown quantity determining the momentary form of the installation. Interaction consists in exploring any possible form through, so to speak, an ‘instrument’ with no previously set rules how to play it.
The basic principle is challenging the traditional concept of the image as a geometrically defined, two-dimensional space as well as the three-dimensional norm of sculpture (as a static object, made of rare, carefully selected and long-lasting materials) with kinetic objects, made with new materials and using new media, which are installed with regard to the dynamics

RoboVox

RoboVox

RoboVox is a large (8m high) interactive public sound installation by media artist Martin Bricelj, using SMS for general public interaction. It will be installed in crowded metropolitan squares (Helsinki, Barcelona, Beijing, Paris, New York, Rotterdam, Berlin…), preferably on those carrying some social or even political connotation. Its purpose is to serve as a tool for an individual, who’s voice usually gets lost in the sounds of the mass, the society.

By combining traditional techniques (needlepoint) and traditional motifs (erotica) the author approaches in a fresh and playful way the aesthetics of the digital format, which is these days largely utilized for dissemination of pornography on the web.

FeedForward Cinema

V Petek, 19.10 se je zgodil prvi v seriji dogodkov, pod skupnim naslovom KINOZVOČENJA. Avtorja sta tokrat predstavila novo zvočno obliko, ta je namreč nastajala v popolni odvisnosti od slike. FeedForward je izraz ki opisuje načine prilagajanja nepredvidljivim situacijam, in opisuje neko obliko umetne inteligence, ki lahko predvidi prihajajočo spremembo. Avtorja sta za to priložnost žrtvovala del svoje digitalne svobode in tako vstopila v ozko polje izraznih možnosti. Tehnologija pa v tem primeru ni služila ustvarjanju individualnih polj kreativne svobode pač pa omejevanju le teh. Zamišljen instrument je nastal na ideji popolne integracije zvoka in slike, skoraj suženjsko razmerje le teh pa je avtorjema dovolilo izjemo intimno izkušnjo doživljanja. Slika, ki je plod zaprte zanke je pri svojem nastanku podvržena skoraj naključnim spremembam, avtor pa lahko v podrejenem položaju le nadzira izvajanje logičnih nadaljevanj. Čeprav je celoten performans dirigiralo razmereje med kamero in televizorjem je v medprostoru ostalo dovolj prostora za manipulacijo. Avtorja Dekleva/Prinčič sta v prihodnje sklenila povabiti še tretjega “noizerja”, Miho Ciglarja. Celoten posnetek nastopa v kinodvor pa si lahko ogledate na viator.si
